Quiet Body Spaces by prOphecy sun published on 2013-01-15T06:18:53Z A clip from the Soundasaurus Festival of Multimedia Sound Arts, Calgary 2012. This 35 minute A/V performance created emotive spaces through different mediums of sound and visual composition. This piece explored human eccentricities through vocal abstraction, physical manipulations, experience and visual metaphor. The installation was made up of a shell like pod that is functional, transportable, lightweight, and folds up into a small 3’' x 3' circle. The pod will installed on stage created a dynamic other worldly shape that resembled a skin cocoon. A variety of techniques were examined and utilized in this performance with tools like voice, breath, throat singing, discarded electronics, a modified theremin, field recordings and delay pedals.
