To celebrate selling 1 million copies of their compilation series on Ministry of Sound and for gaining a brand new time slot for their weekly Kiss Fm Show, the Wideboys decided it was time to re-release and rework their club smash from last year “Addicted 2 The Bass”, adding an almighty set of remixes. Enlisting the international production talent of Lazy Rich, Nick Thayer (Owsla), Timothy Allan & Loverush, UK garage don’s Sunship, and one of D&B’s shining stars, Tantrum Desire, to help hurt some speakers, things are about to get even louder.
“After a low key soundcloud remix competition attracted entries from over 50 countries, it seemed we had something people were connecting with on a different level. In the process we unearthed some major emerging talent from dubstep to underground speed garage with the winners being added to the re-release package.”
2012 was an amazing year for the Wideboys AKA Ed Craig and Jim Sullivan, the internationally renowned and prolific South Coast DJ and production duo, who’s World Wide Phonographics label signed international deals in multiple territories including the United States, Canada, Germany, Australia, Russia, Scandanavia, Poland, Bulgaria, Austria, Switzerland.
In-demand in the studio, the boys have recently completed remixes on singles including Will I Am, Conor Maynard & Wiley, Olly Murs, Justin Beiber & Nicki Minaj.
Label support for WWP has already been huge with UKs leading tastemakers including Annie Mac, Mistajam, Danny Howard, Steve Smart, Andi Durrant, DJ EZ, Eddy Temple-Morris, Crissy Criss, Drumsound & Bassline Smith all spinning various releases.
