Nikolas Velikopoljski

Nikolas Velikopoljski is a Miami-based entrepreneur and founder of The Benefitted, a luxury apparel and accessories brand. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Business in 2017 with degrees in Human Resource Management and Business Administration. From a young age, Nikolas demonstrated a knack for creative thinking and problem-solving, always seeking ways to improve or personalize things.

The idea for The Benefitted came from a challenge he encountered while attending events at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium. When strict policies were introduced, banning traditional bags inside the stadium, Nikolas saw an opportunity. He designed branded, vinyl fanny packs that were both stylish and stadium-approved, offering convenience to attendees. The success of this initial product inspired him to create more unique items for everyday use.

Nikolas's interest in fashion stems from his love for self-expression through clothing. He frequently alters his wardrobe to reflect his distinctive style, even transforming bowling shoes into house slippers by melting off the heel—an example of his flair for the unconventional. He believes that dressing differently helps set people apart and make lasting impressions.

As a young entrepreneur, Nikolas enjoys the non-traditional, fast-paced lifestyle of his career. He is inspired by his father, a successful entrepreneur and community leader in Miami, and aims to follow in his footsteps by partnering with local organizations and nonprofits. Nikolas has always been passionate about giving back, volunteering in high school with charities like Sisters of Sacred Heart and initiatives such as Leading Miami.

Outside of work, Nikolas spends his downtime playing basketball with a close-knit group of friends, finding it a perfect way to unwind from the demands of entrepreneurship.
