Hi and welcome to my SoundCloud page. Apologies, I have not been on Soundcloud for over a decade. Most of the recordings on here I made whilst struggling with a few things and so I found it hard to revisit the sounds that came out of that time. Now some 15 years on I am more relaxed about it and see that time as one of life’s journeys. I still have a room of synths which I hope to re-engage with so maybe some more sounds will be forthcoming. Let’s see! Here's a bit about me, the gear I use and some other stuff:- - I have been messing around with synths since about 1975; making noises and building circuits. Back in the day I was impressed (obsessed ?) by the sounds of synths used by artists such as Yes, Camel, Greenslade, Tangerine Dream, Rush, Patrick Moraz, Rick Wakeman, Bill Nelson and Tomita; so more prog than electronica. - I love analogue synths - I have an ARP Odyssey, a Roland SH09, a Roland SH5, two Sequential Circuits Pro Ones (both with Synthwood kits) and my absolute favourites are my two modular synths (Roland 100m and a Eurorack modular system) and my Moog Voyager. I also use a Novation K Station. - My keyboard skills are rudimentary, my favoured control method now is a Doepfer R2M ribbon controller, a Make Noise 0-Ctrl and a pair of Doepfer joysticks. - I like most of the tracks I have posted but they are early works and are unsophisticated arrangements and basic recordings. I dislike my track Not Quite Right in Two as the guitar timing is terrible but some people have liked it so it’s still on here. - My music inpirations are Yes, Tool, A Perfect Circle, The Knife, Puscifer, FischerSpooner, Portishead, Nine Inch Nails, Dream Theater, Soundgarden, King Crimson, Bill Nelson plus a load of other rock, blues, electronic, prog, classical stuff etc. A little varied!? - I am now retired from my day job and from my side-hustle Synovatron (modular synth products). You would think I had plenty of time to play but it’s not the case as priorities change as you get older and time just seems to vanish.
