Mode1 Ben Cottrell Trefnant Ben Cottrell is an unsigned and independent producer, who began making music in his bedroom using logic studio, a few sample packs and plug-ins. Under the name "Mode1" he is developing a truly unique sound, expanding on dubstep with experimental rhythms. Influenced by the fringes of dubstep, house, electro and hip hop, he is blending minimal yet expanding beats and bass with echoing ambient soundscapes that take the listener to an entirely different place.
