Masaki Hosotani
Masaki Hosotani was born in Osaka, Japan. Currently residing in London,UK. He moved to England in 1998, where he formed the group “Miso-Soup”. As a main member of the group, he has been a part of the under ground avant grade / improvisation music and art scene. The group has performed at numerous music festivals and concerts, including South Bank/Queen Elizabeth Hall creating an underground phenomenon, attracting the likes of Damo Suzuki (ex-CAN) to play alongside them. He has also a wide body of work as a music composer, which includes commissions for Shiseido International,
San Francisco Levi’s store, soundtracks for TV programs, fashion shows, art exhibitions, sound installations and commercial projects. In 2008 he brought together an eclectic group of creative people in London
to form the Art collective “Scribble Island”, for which he presides over the direction and curation. In 2010 he founded a music production team “Just Becoming” (http://justbecoming.com/). He hopes to continue with his passion for music and
has plans for a wide range of projects in the future.
