Marcelo Flix, professionally known as DJ Flix, was born on April 12th, 1991. Hailing from a diverse Dominican-Spanish background, his musical journey was deeply influenced by his father, Xavier Flix, a renowned Music Producer and DJ. From a very young age, the captivating sounds emanating from his father's decks ignited Marcelo's passion for rhythm and beats, laying the foundation for his future in the world of music.
Immersed in an environment resonating with music, Marcelo was entranced by electronic beats, marking his first steps into the realm of music appreciation. Through his father's connections, Marcelo was introduced to prominent Dominican DJs, such as DJ Fat Tony, DJ Master Marino (Marino Gutierrez), and DJ Cesar Breton, among others. These encounters further enriched his musical influences, nurturing his fascination for the art of DJing.
One pivotal moment that fueled Marcelo's desire to create music was the discovery of a renowned remix known as the “KAO'z Mix.” This eclectic blend of various genres and melodies on a single cassette ignited his creative spark. At the age of 18, armed with his first computer, a keyboard, and a pair of decks, Marcelo embarked on his journey into musical production.
Throughout his career, DJ Flix has crafted around 40 distinct remixes, with more currently in pre-production. His hallmark lies in his versatility and remarkable agility in seamlessly mixing tracks. He envisions his musical aspirations to span across every corner of his homeland and beyond, connecting with fellow DJs globally to share his musical creations, knowledge, and experiences.
Among his array of musical influences, DJ Flix has drawn inspiration from notable figures including Swedish House Mafia, Mario Ochoa, Abel Ramos, Deadmau5, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, AN21 & Max Vangeli, and Luca M, among a host of others. These influences have contributed to shaping his unique sound and approach to music.
With a fervent drive to traverse new horizons, DJ Flix continues to evolve as a DJ, producer, and artist. His journey is marked by a passionate commitment to spreading his music to audiences far and wide, transcending boundaries and embracing the universal language of beats and melodies.
