Manni Dee is a sought-after artist, producer and DJ - an advocate for non-conformism. Cultivating a sound, vision and taste that synthesises boundaries and nurtures collaboration.
As a producer Manni has worked alongside the likes of Jeff Wootton (Gorillaz), Mike D (Beastie Boys), Daniel Avery (co-producing his no’1 UK dance album, ‘Ultra Truth’), Cecile Believe, Art School Girlfriend, Kelvin Krash, Clem Douglass, Yunè Pinku, HAAi, UNIIQU3, Flohio, ESG, Serge Pizzarno (Kasabian), Matt Healy (1975), SHERELLE, James Massiah, and Jas Shaw (Simian Mobile Disco). Other projects include working on campaigns for Alexander McQueen, Adidas, BBC Olympics and Toyota.
Manni has performed DJ sets at Boiler Room, Glastonbury, Warehouse Project, Piknic Electronik Festival, fabric and ADE as well as tours of India, China and North America. His understanding of sound is unburdened by genre specifics, instead motivated by an ever-expanding set of interwoven aesthetic codes.
He further demonstrated his ability to synthesise contrasting sounds in his Friday Night Guest mix for Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 6 Music, Boiler Room, The Lot Radio NYC set and in fiery mixes for Dekmantel and DJ Mag.
With releases on fabric Originals, TWTW records, Tresor, Herrensauna and forthcoming release on Sherelle and Naina’s Hooversound Recordings and remixes for Metronomy, Sleaford Mods, Max Cooper, Daniel Avery, SALOME, The Horrors and Louisahhh amongst others. His productions are a stamp of quality, assimilating sonic touchpoints from far and wide.
Manni Dee’s creative house Silk + Steel functions as a studio, record label and event series. The platform showcases his own work and fosters collaborations with artists such as TAAHLIAH, Safety Trance, ROOO, Mun Sing, Tim Reaper, River Moon and more, finding moments of connection in order to ideate a new lane for experimentation.
