    @GooseworxScraps: Cinewinds. It's probably Cinesamples best library, though you got to play them pretty soft. Their flute and piccolo are pretty terrible, but everything else on it is pretty great.

    @Embertone: Mixing probably isn't the best term to use, my bad. I think the EQ you have is cutting out the midrange frequencies, where a lot of the body and volume lives for some of these instruments. It's resulting in a bit of a tinny sound with exception of the bass, which is spot on.

    Really fun composition! Can't wait to hear the final cut after you've mastered it, there's so much detail you could bring out in the mix with some good EQ.

    It was improv, I had a general idea of the mood I wanted and just played particular chord intervals that conveyed that mood. The timing of the chord is a stylistic choice, not technically arpeggiated (it wouldn't read that way on a score).

    @GooseworxScraps: Nope! All midi, it's just a really brilliant sound library called Shreddage. It's not very expensive, but you have to use it with an amp software of some kind like Guitar Rig 5 (I think there's a free version of that too)
