This is great! I haven't felt so elated in a while. Fucking Lou Reed. A testament to his douchebaggery. Just cos you were in The Velvet Underground doesn't mean you're untouchable! He's like that lame dad trying to show the kids how cool he can be. Metal monologue by Lou Reed?! The music isn't terrible and I'm so glad Lou voiced this song. He made this track ballin'.

I disagree with the people who are commenting on LuLu as the next "Metallica" recording. Metallica is hard at work on the next "Metallica" recording. This is a Lou Reed & Metlallica "collaborative" recording based upon the German expressionist Frank Wedekind's 1900 plays. Its a very different direction and interpretation than a classic "metal" recording. It should be allowed to stand on its own merit. A 30 second preview of a 19 minute opus such as Junior Dad doesn't scratch the surface of what is transpiring here. I await the CD package itself, the liner notes and owning a copy of Wedekind's plays before I wad in with an opinion.

@Matthew Lee Helgeson: I think most people don't get that sometimes artists do things because they WANT to and not because they want to make money or because they think it's gonna change lives. To me it seems that Lou and Metallica just thought it'd be awesome to put an album together... so they did. Regardless of how other people view it, they're happy with what they did and sometimes that's the only reason people do things. Them being famous should not chain them to making amazing albums all the time, shits and giggles is a great reason to do anything.

this is not any pop shit. this is challenging, filthy, a dirge. if you wanted catchy, you have your favorite albums at home. you don't even need to leave the house for that. it's comfortable and safe there.
lou's New York album vocal style would fit the dialogue better.

This is one of the worst things.
I'm a big fan of everything Metallica did all the way up to St Anger. Even then, I dig some of St Anger, and I really like Death Magnetic.This is one of the worst things.
