Julia Kosterova Julia Kosterova LA >>>Available for session/remote studio work and international touring.<<< Rhythm and lead guitars Julia Kosterova is internationally acclaimed solo artist, LAG and Hughes & Kettner international endorsee. Bringing the spotlight back onto instrumental rock, Julia has been called by fans “… an alien sent down to represent the last several decades of music…” paying justice to Julia’s music inspired by a wide range of influences from Jeff Beck to Steve Vai. Julia’s expressive “emotions to the sound” performances along with her powerful sound and amazing technical abilities – one would not expect from a girl - have gained her multiple awards and recognition at international guitar festivals. Versatility and freedom of creation have been the key for developing Julia’s sound and touch. With her main focus currently being on instrumental melodic / progressive rock / metal, Julia works in various styles, both as performer and composer, with her unique touch, groove and talent for writing catchy melodies. Julia is one of the few russian born musicians gaining worldwide recognition and focusing on international career. She has it all to be a success, with both musical and business background. Julia studied guitar and music composition at the Jazz & Contemporary Music College in Moscow (previously a part of the Gnesin’ Academy of Music) and international business & marketing at the All-Russia Foreign Trade Academy. In 2012 Julia has become the first guitarist from Russia to get worldwide endorsements for LAG Guitars and Hughes & Kettner amps. Also in 2012 she was featured in Guitar World and Music Legends magazines. Opening the 2013 winter NAMM Show with her performance at the Main Stage and “Springs Of Time” EP release have marked a new level of Julia’s career.
