I've been a fan of electronic music since my first listen to "Switched on Bach", (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switched-On_Bach), in the early 70's. The dance scene from "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" hooked me. I did my first remix to STYX, Too Much Time on My Hands. I looped that opening groove for far to many minutes.
I loved music but never had the discipline to learn an instrument. I ammassed a record collection of over 500 in High School only to dump them for CDs. I have no idea where I'm at there 1600+ likely.
Fast forward to 2010 when Mothership Collective heard a little 15 minute mix I had done for fun. He simply said, "you need better gear". It is through his encouragement that I'm here.
I'm lucky that this is a hobby, but I work at it as much and with the same intensity as my day job.
About Singularity. I like Physics and I follow Ray Kurzweil. I was searching for a name then was bombarded by the word from Physics, Kurzweil and finally the first track when I sat in the car was Singularity by the 16-bit lolitas. That was enough of a sign.
I'm available to spin for the simple fee of transportation, lodging (if not in So. Cal), and some Diet Coke. Just drop me an email here or hit me up on Facebook.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
