Honey Mahogany Honey Mahogany San Francisco Voted Best Drag Queen 2011 by SF Weekly's Readers' Poll and the reigning Miss Blow Up USA, Honey Mahogany is an international drag performer and budding recording artist. Honey was selected for the 2011 Hot Pink List of "queers to watch" by the SanFrancisco Bay Guardian and was the cover girl for the Guardian's 2011 Queer Issue. In 2010 Honey's premier single, a cover of Adele’s "Hometown Glory,” was chosen as one of the Best Cover Songs of the Year by Limelight (a lead song licensing company). Honey's self-written single, a funk-inspired anthem called "It's Honey" was released in December 2012. Honey’s resume also includes several theatrical productions such as: Dirty Little Showtunes, Oprah: The Dragsical (in which she held the title role), Halloween: The Ballad of Michelle Meyers, and the collaborative drag/performance art show Work MORE! Honey has just returned from staging a successful show in the UK for the Abandon Normal Devices (AND) Festival (a part of the Cultural Olympiad) in Manchester England. The work was entitled trixxie carr: The Right to Rule and revolved around the theme of success and failure. In January 2013, Honey Mahogany will compete on the fifth season of the wildly popular reality TV show RuPaul's Drag Race becoming the FIRST EVER San Franciscan drag queen to appear on the show. Honey is currently working on her debut EP.
