Una Excusa by Gregorio Uribe

Gregorio Uribe, better known for leading a 16-piece big band and making
his audience dance “‘till they drop” to his funky Cumbia groove, has decided to
show his fans another side of himself. Although he continues to lead his
orchestra, Gregorio has released a new acoustic album "Pluma y Vino" ("Pen
and Wine") which encompasses 10 beautiful songs that show a more
intimate and romantic side of him. With his poetic lyrics and his fresh take
on such Latin American rhythms as Bolero, Currulao, Bullerengue and
Trova, this album will capture the heart of his audience in a whole new way.
Although Pluma y Vino is driven by Gregorio's soothing vocals and his
nylon-string guitar, this album will take the listener through a range of colors
added by accordion melodies, cello arrangements, grooving percussion and
clarinet solos giving, each song its unique character.
