Perverse - Cluster [FKOF free download] by FatKidOnFire published on 2012-09-27T15:29:53Z http://soundcloud.com/korrupt 's review of http://soundcloud.com/perverse 's 'Cluster': "There’s an intense delay on the Eastern-sounding sample right at the beginning of the track, and you slowly hear dark pads fade into the mix. That growl is dangerous and adds subtle aggression to this piece, warning the listener. Some mysterious pads come in right before the drop and after a fadeout of all elements, in comes the drop… "Serious move right here by Perverse, hitting hard with this intense low-end transforming at the end of a group of bars. The percussion is spot on, nice strange samples used to give the track its own unique twist. The drum patterns switch up nice and frequently, containing a lot power: the kick pounds straight with a subtle snare – well chosen. It’s the same case with the growl, which liquefies and continues to flow through the mix while changing key and intensity – great approach! "The break is very enthralling and builds into such a climax, it’s ridiculous – and has the Perverse signature all over it! The second drop is out of control, all elements flow with each other (not forgetting the weighty low-end underneath) in a great way. The original growls come back in the mix, switching up with the liquid one and destroy everything on its path. The Eastern sample comes back in with the other samples involved previously – and fade out slowly. Another huge banger by the boys from New Zealand, enough said." -- "A mixture of the old with the new. We decided to release the Progression EP in 4 different volumes, this being the second. Each Vol. will feature 4-5 tracks of mixed genres and styles. Some of the older tunes don't have the production value of the newer ones, but we thought we would give them away anyway. "'Barren' is an ultra minimal creepy tune that never got to see the light of day so we though we would give it away. 'Cluster' is an older track of ours that's had the support of artists like Biome. 'Space Kush' is a tune we struggled to finish, 2nd drop is a bit of a copy & paste job but it still goes pretty hard. The Shura remix is something different for us, a minimalistic/downtempo garagey tune that we enjoyed making, we don't play it so we thought we would share it with you to listen to. 'Homebrew' are an NZ hip-hop group that we are fans of, so we had a crack at a remix for a bit of fun and have had a few people request it for D/L. "Glad you were all feeling Vol.1! Cheers - Alex & Brett" The second (of four) instalment of Perverse 's 'Progression' volumes. 1. http://soundcloud.com/fatkidonfire/perverse-barren-fkof-free 2. http://soundcloud.com/fatkidonfire/perverse-cluster-fkof-free 3. http://soundcloud.com/fatkidonfire/perverse-space-kush-fkof-free 4. http://soundcloud.com/fatkidonfire/shura-spoken-in-the-voice-of 5. http://soundcloud.com/fatkidonfire/homebrew-basketball-court Reviews by FKOF fam (and all round legend) Korrupt are on their way. http://fatkidonfire.com http://twitter.com/perversenz http://facebook.com/perversenz http://facebook.com/korruptsounds Genre Dubstep Comment by VDJFRI Type your reply hereGOOD JOB!! :) 2012-10-04T08:33:14Z Comment by SKIN E nice perverse 2012-09-29T12:46:04Z Comment by Serviettesky BASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS 2012-09-29T07:30:12Z Comment by RedNut Lovin your style man cheers for the D/L 2012-09-28T01:35:38Z Comment by SHD-ukd Chur! 2012-09-27T21:55:25Z Comment by M I that lows!! 0_O 2012-09-27T18:47:47Z Comment by The dNbarcade Most FM coll tune thanx for the dl 2012-09-27T18:35:20Z Comment by KurrYaHurrd hottt ish 2012-09-27T17:56:31Z Comment by Facesplit !!! 2012-09-27T16:32:58Z Comment by Darj Love that shaker ! 2012-09-27T15:51:34Z Comment by objectionableconformity eerie, heavy, deep 2012-09-27T15:46:37Z Comment by [voloDM] Oï ! dat sub is restless, nice one ! 2012-09-27T15:40:22Z
