Fader Lima - Ghost in the Machine by Fader Lima

“Do you know what frequency you exist on?”
That is the very question that Fader Lima seeks for her fans to ask themselves when
they listen to her music. Being a blend of Jazz, Pop, Rock, and Contemporary, she credits her
diversity to her diverse background as the reason for a cool eclectic style, along with the vocals
of soft melody and flow. She refers to it as “Intuitive Pop”, using metaphors and analogies to give
you a chance to come up with your own point of view. She cites her inspirations being Madonna,
Mariah Carey, Aaliyah, and the Cranberries.
Born in St. Louis, MO; raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she began singing as a young
girl even appearing on stage at the age of 3 with a popular Haitian singing group named Negro
Spirituel. During her time in Haiti she sang in church, school musicals, singing a commercial for
Carnation Milk Products and doing background vocals for a group called Brother’s Posse.
At the age of seventeen, she graduated high school and went to St. Leo University for a
year. During that time she decided a change was in order and joined the U.S. Army for 3 years.
Being stationed at Fort Sill, OK, and then moving to Seoul, South Korea, she realized that having
experienced these vast cultures, it had an innate influence in her understanding of how to relate
her music to people of all places.
She started writing songs after she left the army. Realizing that she had taken many
detours in her life and it was time to really give her heart to music. Living independently for
another year in South Korea she decided to focus on writing. This has led her to write at least
thirty songs, allowing her the opportunity to complete an album and to be ready for the next one.
Meeting up with a producer by the name of Philippe “Cheese” Boncy, together they have been
