Former Eagle Seagull frontman Eli Mardock recorded and mixed "NE Sorrow is Born” in the basement of his house in Lincoln, NE. His first solo release since leaving Eagle Seagull, it is a gorgeous, dreary, and dreamy debut.
“NE Sorrow is Born” marks the first step in a new beginning for Eli Mardock. While critics compared his past work with Eagle Seagull to everyone from The Cure to Arcade Fire (and none other than Florence Welch confessed to being a fan), “NE Sorrow is Born” clearly reveals that Eli Mardock is one of those rare talents whose songwriting prowess only continues to grow.
