Gary Granada vs GMA Kapuso

why not let them do their talkings & we just listen...kung baga sa crime scene, wala naman kayo sa pinangyarihan ng krimen pero kayo ang nagbibigay ng testament...ok lang magpakita ng suporta as long as you don't make a foul comment & let's not drag the whole GMA family on this, nagmumukha tuloy kasing demolition job lang ito nung kabila at naliligaw ang issue.

Can someone help kung paano po mada-download ang Mp3 na ito? Mediafire links from all blogs and websites point to non-existing file. Salamat po!

Any updates on this. GMA seems to have removed the jingle from the commercial recently. Its just Mel Tiangco asking support for the GMA-P&G program.

@fuckdaman: ditto re advertising. ditto re aware of the power of the man. ditto re fat salaries. at least people are aware while earning. and advertising benefits from the man's employees who earn big bucks from the former. let's go back to granada's case. just like the GMA stand, we're only diverting the attention to something not immediately relevant.

Maybe Gary Granda called the second song mediocre because it's a bastradized version of his composition. Maybe the man plays a dirty game called advertising and marketing and the ultimate victim is the consumer. Maybe all of you are panicking because you're either involved in or affected by this issue, making you shit scared that bad publicity might hit you shit hard in the face... that you're the talk of this shitty industry. Kudos to all of you!

after a few days of brewing over this issue, i realized this shit has its use, afterall. others here are saying/wondering why didn't GG went to court and do his legal battle there. now GG is a veteran. he knows this shit better than most people. and he is very intelligent. it has dawned on me that maybe the motive is different. maybe GG has other reasons why he spread this podcast. i said the other day that the man owns everything, even the courts and to some extent, the internet. so why bother to fight the man at all, afterall, its your own choice, your own will to be used by the man. now i see different. since GG is a veteran fighter, this podcast is just a way of getting back to the man. tutal naman, walang pag-asa sa korte, tangina badtripin na lang natin ang sistema. let's use all the available resources. this discussion thread is precisely what mr. granada have in mind. i doubt kung umaasa pa siya ng justice. sabi niya nga sa audio, this country is being run by the dogs.

Why won't GMA name the 2nd composer? We can then interrogate her and know whether the network misled her into thinking that that text was not the by-product of the collaboration of the marketing department of the foundation and Mr Granada.

Now I am confused with what Mr Granada is saying. He claims that the final product wouldn't have been possible without his studies. He wouldn't have studied anything without the copy given to him. I wonder now what he wants. He has lambasted the final work. Maybe he feels that his lyrics added to the seeming ugliness (to him) of the final work. If I am so offended by a work, I won't even tell other people about it. What principle is in place here? I am not provoking anyone. I just really want to understand.

Who is splitting hairs here? Who is dakila? Who is the baliw? Who is the sinungaling?

Ultimately, what does GG want? Recognition of his work? More money? For GMA to issue an apology? If he doesn't want to settle this amicably, he's backed GMA to a corner and has left the company no choice but to defend itself. He intends to malign and nothing else.

@fuckdaman - i see. and you made your choice. I wonder how hard it might seem. somehow I understand. I just couldn't imagine how hard it would be to work in a situation that would compromise your happiness. Perhaps, there is a better reward you found in there that is worth the staying. or you've been out of that situation long ago and express how you felt it when you where there... with the man. I may not earn that much, (though I know "much" is a very subjective word) and i am not dreaming of earning that much either, but I own my time, work my own pace... rest if I wanted to. anyhow, back to gary granada and GMA7, I still look for updates in this case, so far everything had been said here in this thread, no new updates and nothing more to say. lurking mode muna.

@tolits: yes, i've been in a similar situation. yes, i've been fucked in the ass a few times by the man (though the man in question was not as big as GMA) that was my choice. as they said, we need to make a living somehow. but i didn't complain. because as i said, that was my choice. uulitin ko ulit: you work for the man, you get fucked. now it's your choice. you don't want something like this to happen to you, then don't work for the man. I believe you find the feeling familiar. But I would like to point out that i dig this issue not because my admiration of gary granada's works is beyond measure. I simply found validity of the complain being raise given the audio file uploaded. and if this will be resolve through the proper forum, it will be a landmark decision. I may say landmark because the line that separates original work and anchored works these days are too thin as to be visible.
