Acid test MCV-24 by Doggie Dogster published on 2012-11-05T23:37:32Z Trying out the Doepfer MCV-24's variable slew limiter rate (portamento) as a makeshift acidline slide. Note that the acidline alternates between two different slide lengths. Unfortunately, I haven't yet found a way to turn the slew completely off for the notes that shouldn't slide, which makes this sound pretty bad... As you can hear, though, at bassline octaves, the portamento clicks are somewhat masked. Strings (and a dash of spring reverb) add a bit of a musical context towards the end, and as we approach an almost decent mix, the slew issue really isn't that noticeable anymore. Of course, there may well be a way to turn slew off when required, I just haven't worked it out yet... Genre Electronic Comment by W6mpr Cool pads with the A100 bass? 2012-11-06T05:13:47Z
