Zaro – musician and composer – was born in Curitiba (southern Brazil). He first became involved with music at the tender age of four. Zaro always considered himself a self-taught composer, however there were two people who contributed their technical studies and that are worth being mentioned: He studied classical guitar at the Conservatory Villa Lobos Curitiba with the great master guitarist Valdomiro Prodóssimo and Musical Arrangement with the Hungarian Yan Guest. Zaro has acted mainly in European countries such as England, Spain and France. Recorded in England as well as his second Cd "Tears and Joys" other CDs with international singer Natacha Atlas, and also played with great musicians from different countries like: Aly Minyawi, Chris Cornish, Dale Hambridge, Ivan Moreno, Aaron Catlow, Nick Malcolm, John Short, Mark Whitlam, Andrew Fuller, Andy Tween, Luis Marinho, Robbie Thomas, Tosh Wijetunge, Andy Nowak, Fabiano Zanin, Glauco Solter, Zélia brandão and others.
His parents are of Lebanese origin and this instinctively did develop within himself a deep connection and passion for the music and culture of the Mediterranean countries. On his odyssey he has traveled and lived in many countries, from Brazil to countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, arousing itself a universal musical sense. Reflecting on it as a great musical influence for music Classical, Brazilian, Lebanese, Jazz, Flamenco, Turkish and Fusion.
Zaro is also a researcher of the cultures, music and languages of the Middle East and North Africa and for more than 20 years the speaker has been researching and studying more than 26 countries in a historical, cultural, musical and linguistic context.
With a poetic heart, Zaro has a deep relationship with the culture and the music of the world.
Recently he has created a new music style name called ” Ziryabi ”, which is a blend of Middle Eastern music with Flamenco and Jazz. For more details about Ziryabi Style look at Ziryabi Music Project on the menu page of this website. www.zaromusic.com
