Zander Michigan is a folk/Americana singer/songwriter from Detroit, MI. He plays the guitar, the harmonica, and sometimes even plays the fool. His Bob Dylan style vocals, heavy strum, and cheeky lyrics make him a classic sounding musician in an age of futuristic banter. Zander is currently getting ready for his second record release party. The album "Zander, MI 48018" will soon be a reality! After the album is released, Zander hopes to take festival season by storm next year with another jaunt in England and perhaps SXSW? Stay tuned! Looking back, Zander Michigan was coined in early 2013, and since then he has released a demo called "Never Going Back Home" and a full length record called "Zander The Great". He has played many local Detroit festivals including Metro Times Blowout, Detroit River Days, Ann Arbor Summer Festival, Arts, Beats, & Eats and has appeared on Channel 4, WDET, WAYN, TV Warren, MetroArts Detroit, and more. In the summer of 2015, Zander went on a Midwest tour including a Daytrotter session. In the fall of 2015, Zander embarked on the most exciting adventure of his career to date: Zanarchy in the UK, his first international tour. And finally, that brings us back full circle to the present day and the months to come: A new album and more international touring. He says, “I’m making my way both eastward and westward in my pursuit of becoming a household name.” Zander has some big shoes to fill and many miles to walk. He is confident in his stride and has faith that what unfolds will help him get there... wherever "there" is.
