I am "Spaceboy Pola". Upcoming Music Artist. The name Spaceboy Pola came from me just being the creative person that I am, separating myself from others. SPACE. Each letter has its own meaning, when you put them together, you get S(tack) P(aper) A(nd) C(rush) E(verything). Coming up under "Go Gettas" and "Hustlas", that's what I've learnt to do. Get money and keep the pathway to success CLEAR! So whatever's in the way will be crushed! Such as Haters, Dislikers and Etc. POLA. Each letter of this word also has its own meaning and when you put them together you get P(roduct) O(f) L(incoln) A(ve). This is just me simply saying I'll never forget where I'm from. I'm a product of my environment. Plain and Simple.
Spaceboy is someone from the hood, thriving for success. Thriving to get rich. But the correct way. The way I want to do things, not settling for less or doing what anyone else feel I should. I'll forever be Hood, but I refuse to die here.
I must say, music was never a #NumberOne focus of mines until I got older. When I was younger, I'd always link up with the homies in the neighborhood, from time to time we would always get cyphers going. Freestyling. Having fun. I never really did put it into consideration. What really made me say, ok, I'm going to do #Music, was failure. Failure to be successful in other lanes. Such as attending college, finishing and getting a well paying job or becoming a professional athlete. Once you fail, you must learn from it, move on from your mistakes, get back up and do you! You cant dwell on it, or you'll never get right in life.
So what I did was applied myself to #Music and strictly that! I always kind of had it in me. Just had to give it a serious approach.
My very first time recording was with "Speedy Hendrix". Upcoming artist from Lake City. But the song was never released. So what I did, was find another way to get myself out there to the people. They already heard me say I was about to start doing music, but never actually heard any music from me. That's when I went to the homie, "Maine Cobain", another artist out of Lake City SC, paid him for some studio time and put a verse on 2 Chainz-Spend It. This was just to give the people a sample of what I was bringing to the table. I first connected to the hood, then got on the social sites to spread the word a lil more and gave out phone calls and txt messages to reach out to the people and let them know about the freestyle I was about to release.
Once I had everybody anticipating it, I released it and waited on feedback. I told myself, "If ANYBODY says my shit is wack, I REFUSE to make another". With that being said, Everyone was feeling it! Although you're going to have haters, I had no bad reports on it. They told me they wanted to hear more music from me. That's when I decided to make it my career. So I started linking up w/more people. I got in touch with music artist from my neighborhood and throughout my city. Me and the homie "Wiingz" linked up and started making music INSTANTLY! Once things got going, I invited a few more guys to come and work w/me and Wiingz. Guys like "P-Murdah", "Meechie" and "Marc-Dawg". Our 1st song was Space Era-We Know, with me on the hook and 1st Verse, Wiingz on the 2nd and P-Murdah to end it. Next, me and Marc-Dawg decided to do a remix to "Rich Kidz-Feel This Flow" together. Just to let the people know what to expect from the both of us. That's when I made this other song called Space Era-Gone Away, an I felt like it was only right that I reached out to the hood and put my partner Meechie on it. That song right there was one our best creations. We call it the Peoples Favorite, simply because that's what it was. I came up with was Space Era-Ride. I felt like my partners could go in on that one, just let me have the hook. The guys I put on it was Wiingz, Marc-Dawg and P-Murdah. We got together and made a classic.
Those are a few songs I released to let my city know, all I need is for yall to support what I'm doing, and I'll keep blessing yall with this Great Music! Now I got my whole city behind me! Hoods on Lock! They fully supporting the grind. But it doesn't stop there, this is just where it started. I have multiple cities in SC supporting me. Also a few people from other states such as Georgia, North Carolina and Chicago.
I am currently working on my very first project. I'm naming this mixtape "Playmaker". Simply because I'm just like those guys who put themselves in a bad position on the football field or put their team in a bad spot, but yet, they manage to make a play and turn things around! Yes, I may have failed at other things, but with this talent God gave me to put words together, make them flow in different ways that people like, the ability to not sing like Chris Brown but carry a tune well enough to make catchy hooks that the people will recite, basically with the ability to create music, I'm going to make a play in life! So be on the lookout! Keep supporting! I love all of you! Without you, there's no me. #KnowTHAT or stay stupid
