Five Frozen Angels [disquiet0471] by ymeynard published on 2021-01-12T02:29:59Z I used the audio I captured when I first did this project, in 2014. I created 4 different effect chains, using various elements of my plugin arsenal. I played the source audio once through every chain, and because the total length was barely 2 minutes I added the unprocessed audio at the start. Merely presenting the 5 variations felt a bit too spare. I added a simple chord progression using a patch named "Angels" (and thus inspired the title), which contrasts with the chaotic ice sounds and sweetens them a bit. + + + More on this 471st weekly Disquiet Junto project — Phase Transition / The Assignment: Record the sound of ice in a glass and make something with it — at: https://disquiet.com/0471/ More on the Disquiet Junto at: https://disquiet.com/junto/ Subscribe to project announcements here: https://tinyletter.com/disquiet-junto/ Project discussion takes place on llllllll.co: https://llllllll.co/t/disquiet-junto-project-0471-phase-transition/ There’s also a Disquiet Junto Slack.
