From the Darkness, for orchestra (played by BBC NOW) by Yfat Soul Zisso published on 2013-03-05T22:17:40Z Written in the summer of 2012, this is my first orchestral piece, performed by BBC National Orchestra of Wales (conducted by Jac van Steen) as part of their Composition: Wales project on March 4-5th, 2013. 'From the Darkness' is about exploring the different angles of a particular musical colour. It is based on the dark chords we hear in the beginning, yet by exploring the different angles of that colour we realise that it is comprised of much brighter shades, so much that when we return to one of the original chords from the beginning they don't seem as dark. This is very much like looking back on a rough patch you've had in life and realising all the good that has come out of it, even though you didn't notice it at the time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/orchestras/bbcnow/ Genre Contemporary Classical Comment by George Ireland 1 I am enjoying this 2013-10-25T18:49:05Z Comment by Yfat Soul Zisso Thanks! :) 2013-10-09T19:37:05Z Comment by Helgi R.
