The Ceylon Tiger Cult Ritual (disquiet0305) by yaanno published on 2017-11-05T21:08:32Z Submission for https://disquiet.com/2017/11/02/disquiet-junto-project-0305-three-princes/ Longer than expected but hey its ritual music :) About the process: Originally I thought I'll go with a random selection of tracks but I just couldn't stop listening to these songs so I picked a handful of rhythmically, melodically or otherwise interesting ones. Then I chopped a few interesting pieces per the instructions but honestly neither of those worked out for me until I found a very noisy slice with a bell sound in it. Added some resonators there to enrich the harmonics. It also gave me the idea to move forward with a ritual type of piece as it was repetitive enough to build something on it. Then I found a more dominant piece - it got transposed and saturated. From the beginning I really liked the melodic loop so I added that to the background to drift by. Some additional compression, saturation and reverb to finish. All done in Ableton.
