Stephen Zunes, Professor of Politics and San Francisco University and specialist on the Middle East talks about the history of Palestine since before the creation of the state of Israel and Israel's treatment of the Palestinians to the present. Amnesty International published the extensive research report "Israel's Apartheid Against Palestinians" which concluded that decades of systematic discrimination and oppression of Palestinians and violation of their rights amounts to the crime of apartheid. We discuss why the U.S. refuses to acknowledge that Israel violates a wide range of human rights of the Palestinians.
