Gail Holst-Warhaft April 26 by WRFIhumanrightsshow published on 2019-04-27T19:23:19Z Gail Holst-Warhaft, who is the chair of the board of Ithaca City of Asylum (ICOA) talks about the organization and the "Spring Writes" literary festival coming up in Ithaca May 2-5. On May 4 at 12:30 p.m. the panel "Expression as Freedom" will be hosted at the Community Arts Partnership space. ICOA sponsors poets, writers and journalists from countries where they are under threat. Most recently they have sponsored a Nicaraguan cartoonist, who will be on the May 4 panel. ICOA is part of the International Cities of Refuge Network (ICORN), an organization, an organization that offers refuge to persecuted artists and writers.
