Winter Owl Winter Owl Verona Guitar and Bass player, love metal, Frank Zappa and Beer! Born 17 august 1983, at the age of 8 I started my way to the world of music by learning clarinet in the local fanfare. But my real goal (at that time) was to play the tenor saxophone, and after a few years playing clarinet my parents bought me my first music buddy! I studied saxophone with Massimiliano Negri for 3 years! But at the same time (I was a little metal head teenager!) I had a sort of an ancient calling from the dark, and I took my father's old acoustic guitar and began to play it! My father tought me the basics, then I started to study all by myself. The time was right to start the first band, but we had already two guys playing guitar! (What the hell??) So they told me: "Hey, why don't you play bass guitar??" I said ok, I had no other choice! But my love for guitar didn't fade away, I continued practicing and writing songs waiting for my moment! And the moment came back in 2005 with the Allegro Vivo Bis band! 9 people, 9 friends and the right mood to let people have fun! After almost 10 years with Allegro Vivo Bis, the band eventually broke up. It was a really sad moment for my life, but after the initial shock I began to put my pieces back together. I had many old ideas stored in the bank, so I started to re-arrange them! Winter Owl is a new born project, and with the precious help from all of my friends and singer Marco Vantini, it is slowly coming to life!
