Leaked audio reveals O’Donnell, Capps, Clendenin cover-up of Whipple smear by Wichita Eagle

A leaked audio file of a meeting between Michael O’Donnell, Michael Capps, James Clendenin that was secretly recorded by videographer Matthew Colborn and provided to The Eagle by his attorney, exposes the involvement of all three Republican officials in a plot to falsely accuse then-mayoral candidate Brandon Whipple, a Democrat, of sexual harassment to save former Mayor Jeff Longwell’s flailing campaign. O’Donnell compared their mission to that of the man who assassinated Wichita abortion provider Dr. George Tiller.
