PRÉMIÈRE: Agnès AOKKY - Les Poissons-Chats (Hologram Teen's Ottawa Disco Dub Remix) by whypeopledance

Her love for music first leads Agnès AOKKY to radio Nova where she dicusses culture and counter-culture as a chronicler-host for « Le Grand Mix Week-End » along with Gilles Peterson's World Wide. Nowadays, she mixes in every sense of the word as an author, performer and DJ. Inspired by Rimbaud's stream, she superimposes poems and electronica / braindance sounds. She works with underground producers such as Maxime Komori and Computer Truck by her side. Its first track « Les Poissons-Chats » is rather an intimate and acoustic ditty which tells the story of the time spent in the shifting sands of drunken times. For a touch of added electro, Hologram Teen's synthesizers – keyboarder for Stereolab from 1995 to 2001 – are all the rage in the psychedelic/disco/dub remix. As for the aesthetics, Agnès AOKKY went for The Bow aka Markus Hofko, whose talent was already confirmed in several music videos for artists such as Flying Lotus, KOKOKO!, Débruit and The Gaslamp Killer. Starting from a Ying-Ju Lu portrait, he splashes the photograph with sometimes shimmering, sometimes cold colors.
