Weaux ("Woah!") New York I AM A BEACON OF HOPE. For all the dreamers, the downtrodden, and everyone in between. I am part of a new generation of radically queer artists like Janelle Monae, Lil Nas X, Ben Platt and Troye Sivan, who put their queerness center stage in their music. My music is the truest expression of who I am, and my new song “Golden Boy” is all about learning to embrace my imperfections. For years, I’ve let the ghost of perfectionism hold me back from sharing my ideas with the world. But no more! No more dark blue and deep purple. No more darkness. Just light. Gold. PURE SOLID GOLD. Weaux (pronounced "Woah!") is a queer popstar fresh off the release of his debut album, "Weaux Is Me", which combines elegant piano pop and glittery synths with deeply personal lyrics to take you on a journey through heartbreak to self-empowerment. In September 2018 he released his first song, "High Definition", taking the NYC music scene by storm with its infectious optimism and 80's-inspired synths. His charismatic vocals and songwriting chops quickly drew comparisons to artists like Prince and Stevie Wonder. Weaux spent most of 2019 travelling and performing in Open Mics around the world from NYC to Houston to London and back again while developing his new sound. In April 2021 he released “Weaux Is Me” to widespread acclaim, with fans and industry professionals praising the EP as “a stunning first release from a young artist with a bright present and wide open future in the musical world.”
