wardrums Aarhus WAR DRUMS NEW ALBUM OUT SOON The band’s first EP and their energetic live performances was critically acclaimed by a large number of Denmark’s leading music sites and magazines and now War Drums are ready with their first album. The band continues to work within their bleak, post-punk inspired electro-universe - or as they call the genre; Synth Brutality. The album will be available on Spotify, and other streaming services - and with the great interest there has been regarding their EP release ’Wilderness Children’, the new single has been awaited with excitement. The album is mixed & mastered by Jacob Brøndlund. The dark synth sounds and the lyrical universe in the music of War Drums, draws clear parallels to the band’s influences, which can be found in 80’s Dark Wave bands like The Sound, but also among more contemporary Industrial artists like The Soft Moon. War Drums was therefore the obvious choice to support The Soft Moon, when they visited the venue ’Atlas’ in Aarhus. The melodic character of the songs and the effective sound makes them so catchy that Gaffa, in a review of a War Drums concert at the RECession Festival, compared the band with the popular Danish synth-rock band, Turboweekend.
