Wahid_WMD Hisham Kaine Hi I am Hisham Kaine, author of the graphic novel/comic book Wahid: Weapon of mass destruction. For three years have I worked on this project and today we are a team of eight individuals doing our best to give you a unique but familiar experience. I am of Iraqi descent but was born in Sweden. I see myself as one that has experience from both countries. It has given me lots of perspectives about culture, religion, politics and morality. I have been an avid fan of comics, games and movies for 30 years. It was my guide of right and wrong and has shaped me into being a person that wants to make a difference. In later years I got tired of seeing middle eastern role models being either dead prophets or bloodthirsty dictators. We need a character that questions himself, values and even "God". I have changed my religious beliefs, I see the need to stand up for freedom of speech. If we do not fight for it, there will be nothing left of freedom. I choose to live my life speaking and thinking like a free man, not one who stays silent while dark forces vote and dictate people to die for greed or gods. The story of Wahid is inspired by true events, religious scripture, and geopolitics. Wahid is a force for freedom of speech, true democracy, and prosperity for everyone. We will truly test the limits of these virtues in our comic book. Nothing is holy to us; there will be no exemptions for scrutiny.
