W. Aaron Rice W. Aaron Rice Tucson, AZ Aaron Rice recently completed his MM in Music Composition at The University of Arizona. He previously studied music composition, theory, and trombone performance at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, where he played and sang in all major ensembles. He received the Ashley R. Coffman Wind Ensemble Award in 2012 and 2014, and was also awarded the Robert McGill Choral Music Award in 2014. Rice's private study includes two years of private trombone lessons with world-renowned trombonist Moises Paiewonsky, one year of private composition study with Professor Daniel Asia, one year of private composition study with Dr. Pamela Decker, four years of trombone with Dr. Karen Fannin and two years of composition/music theory with Dr. Karen Griebling.
