Keith Hudson - Selected By The Mighty Ruler by VP RECORDS

VP Records, Greensleeves, and 17 North Parade celebrate the legacy of reggae singer and producer Keith Hudson with the release of Flesh Of My Skin, Blood Of My Blood! Enjoy this specially commissioned all-vinyl mix from Mark Professor of Mighty Ruler Sound, based in North London. Mighty Ruler is a revival sound system, rebuilt from original and salvaged sound system audio gear - all analog, all vinyl selections, 100% authentic.

The Mighty Ruler was originally established in 1962. It was 'parked' (decommissioned) many years ago. Fortunately, Selector and Sound System enthusiast Papa Eli from 'Wreck It Up Crew' acquired the sound. It was an amazing find, which galvanized the support of members and engineers from various other sounds. This collaborative project brought members of different sounds to join together for the restoration project, including members of Fatman, Soca Saga Boys, Stereo City, Gemi Magic, Trinbago, Active Force and the Wreck It Up Crew now have the sound restored and ready to hit the road!

This mix was compiled by Mark Professor, a member of the sound, who hosts a 7-inch vinyl-only night called The Magnificent Sevens. He is also a founder member of the Selectors Showcase, a weekly YouTube vinyl-only platform. He has a long history of being an avid record collector and playing at many events and different crews.
