Vlad Scala is the Hiphop and RnB singer of The Principality.
Through his authentic urban style, the artist represents Monaco internationally by sharing with a very diverted public his passionate love for Music during his shows and in his songs.
Supported by S.A.S Prince Albert II of Monaco, Vlad is a complete self-taught artist, composer and songwriter dubbed with an independent, perfectionist, ambitious and tenacious entrepreneur.
"Scala" in Russian means wild cliff, sign of virility. Raw element that is not easy to move. It's the Rock! This expresses his majestically indomitable personality, but also emphasizes his mental strength, his will to succeed and a unique determination. It is also a metaphor for representing Monaco's Princely Rock, The country of which he is so proud to be a native.
Vlad has a natural gift for singing, performing and entertaining. Born in Monte-Carlo, he has enjoyed staging himself since a young age. At only 7 years old, he learned to sing the songs of his father Grégory, crooner and patron of piano bars / night clubs in Monte Carlo at the time. He tragically loses his dad at age 21, the latter having suffered from a long and painful illness.
Vlad Scala is self-taught, he has learned to sing, record, compose, mix, arrange and produce by sharing his passion for music with other young people with the same love, and by doing various online courses including sound engineer in order to have a crystal clear understanding of the universe in which he evolves.
After traveling across Europe and the United States, the young man forged his style; a unique blend of HipHop, Funky Soul, R'n'B and Electronic Music.
With a combativeness and a will to all tests, his perseverance and his courage, as well as his creed: « Life is what we make of it » and the old Latin adage which is dear to him « Per Aspera Ad Astra* » (* Up to the Stars Though winding paths), nothing can stop Vlad Scala in his momentum and his infectious enthusiasm in his quest for success.
