virginiakathryn Virginia Kathryn Omaha I started performing my original music in coffeehouses and restaurants at an early age. I have always taken great joy in melding my own musical style with international styles. I perform in venues around Omaha, as well as providing original compositions for small-scale film and videography projects. Arising from a fascination with Celtic balladeers and a passion for American Delta blues, I use the voice of my instrument to convey the stories of those who came before me. One of my greatest joys when performing has been seeing the way that these stories can touch people from a distance of decades or centuries, returning through my own contemporary musical voice. Music has been a bridge for me between performer and audience, between adolescence and adulthood, between my culture and the international community.
