Roar in the Garbage Can by Vincent Teetsov

Vincent Teetsov is a musician and writer who, through storytelling and steady grooves, magnifies feelings of awe about the world.

His Transatlantic upbringing has grown into bookish songwriting, with an everyday philosophical edge. Teetsov infuses guitar and songwriting from the roots music tradition with Latin rhythms and wide-ranging instrumental experimentation.

Teetsov's youthful, fast-paced exposure to being from somewhere else has anchored a position of observation in his personality. As a communicator above all else, Teetsov uses music as an avenue to express those observations, of social form as it changes from place to place.

At this stage, he channels his experiences into this new solo release 'Roar in the Garbage Can'. The title refers to voice actor Frank Welker, who reproduced the roar of a lion by directing his voice into a galvanized steel trash can. 'Roar in the Garbage Can' represents Vincent's crowning achievement as a musician and songwriter, to resonate his thoughts beyond the frame of one person.

"The intensity of creation, writing and recording from country to country, was arduous. But I realized that I had no other option but to speak about this time and place honestly from my point of view. Using everything at my disposal, letting momentum carry me forward to finish these songs, no matter what."

Before him are a myriad of demos that patiently strove for enduring songs. Ahead is a new album that seeks to centre his gravity as a singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Teetsov's album brings classic instrumentation in for a new lease on how songs have been written in the last 60 years.
