Having grown up in the musical environment since childhood, Rafael Ferrari, the name behind ‘’VERMONT’’, grew up listening to the Brazilian musical trends such as Bossa nova, Tropicália, Choro, and international music styles such as contemporary Jazz, Blues, and various Pop artists in the global scenario.
When he was still very young, under family influence, and in the quest to express himself through music, Rafael studied keyboard and acoustic guitar. Always seeking to keep up with the newest trends and what is actually going on in other musical scenarios with the aid of the Internet, he had his first contact with electronic music.
At twelve years old, his life changed. Rafael had finally discovered what he really wanted – his way into the world of electronic music.
From that time on, the quest wouldn’t stop. He started as a DJ, playing in private parties, and soon became a professional DJ, playing in famous clubs, trance parties, big events in the state of São Paulo when he was only seventeen years old.
Due to his will and interest in being a producer, he quit studying Business Administration and enrolled in the only Brazilian Electronic Music college..
With this musical baggage, and influenced by strong international musical trance scenario, Rafael knew that his quest was only beginning. In order to go more deeply into the concept, Rafael went after the roots of the essence of electronic music, traveling to the countries which had given the world great names in trance music, and the atmosphere of the local culture and tradition served as a complement to his inspiration.
The Vermont project follows a new concept in electronic music with dry accelerated beats, peculiar rhythms, and great concern in the percussion works. It seeks to work with the idea of progressive trance music for the floor in pursuit of a Psychedelic Atmosphere.
