What a World by informatics published on 2011-12-27T12:46:36Z Pioneer disco punk. Using the first Drum computer invented by an individual rather than a corporation (Robin Whittle). This track was also included on the EP called Dezinformatzia Genre Disco Punk Comment by Robin Whittle "What a World" is by Robin and Valek, as stated on the original 7" EP and I think the mini-CD by Last Chance Records in 1989. Valek and I made the rhythm track with my Z80 home-built computer (as used in Equal Local), at my home. This was two tracks, I think, on a Teac 3340S 4-track reel-to-reel tape. Valek took the tape and brought it back a week or so later with his marvelous vocals, JP-8 and other synth sounds on the other two tracks. He named it too - all the words are his, not least "Living life in real-time's hard to do . . . .", while cranking down the speed of an RE-201 Space Echo! The Informatics were about to release an EP (7" vinyl) but had only three tracks, so we contributed the fourth. This song is widely regarded as by the Informatics. It is not, but if it had not hitched a ride on Dezinformatsiya, it would probably only have been heard by a handful of people. 2017-08-18T13:37:11Z Comment by :codes GREAT 2014-08-21T08:20:51Z Comment by The Proximate Force Great 2012-12-28T12:42:29Z Comment by Minimalwaver yes, sounding is different a bit from the version on my mix 2011-12-27T20:31:25Z
