Multi instrumentalist and deep house master producer Lars Bartkuhn returns to Alex Bradleys Utopia Records, a label whose ambition is to find harmony and balance through sound, design and experience. Fusing organic sounds with electronic soundscapes Bartkuhn’s 10-minute pathway to the African plains does exactly that, An ode to the ’Massai’ takes the listener and dancer on a journey of real depth and positive spirit. With it’s musicality (Bartkuhn on bass, drums, guitar, vocals, piano and synthesizer) complex arrangement and phrasing, ‘Massai' is a timeless and personal statement from Bartkuhn as he seeks the essence of what dance music in 2017 could be, a movement away from relative beats and to a more advance and spiritual sound that has been a mainstay in his compositions.

Garnering support from the likes of Hunee, MCDE, Ron Trent, Jeremy Underground Paris, Volcov, Bicep and a host of taste makers, Bartkuhn's back on the European music scene after years away in Brazil working on Jazz compositions which only saw the light of day in Japan. Having already lit up Berlin's Panorama Bar for Tamo Sumo and Lakuti with his inspiring live show (that features him on Guitar, vocals, synthesizer and drums) Bartkuhn is set to tour Europe in 2017 with his music more relevant on dance-floors than ever.
