Our elementary students traveled to the Kentucky school for the blind for the Bill Roby track and field day. Nick and Perseus will share their memories of that day. October 7 OSSB students and staff participated in the 9th annual orthopedic spirit Sprint 5k to raise money to support student activities at ossb. Special thanks to Mrs. Parrish for all of her work making this event a huge success. https://runsignup.com/Race/OH/Columbus/SpiritSprint5K WE take a look at blind soccer with Katie Atkinson. This sport has been around since 1996 and debuted as a Paralympic game in Athens in 2004. https://www.usaba.org/sports/soccer-5-a-side/ We will meet more of our OSSB students this month. White cane day was filled with all kinds of excitement. We will meet Doug Payne. He works for Microsoft and is visually impaired himself. Our alumni focus this month is Alex Crawford. Alex graduated in 2017 and straight out of the gate of OSSB he will give us his prospective as a full-time student who also has a part-time job. Our goalball team is gearing up on the court for the ncasb championship in November. We cap off the month with some halloweenish activities. It is always fun to get a little candy and it is fun to retell a ghost story or 2.
