Kulturkollektiv ContrApunkt

We have been active as the collective ContrApunkt in Innsbruck since 2011. It is our aim to build a platform where an interdisciplinary approach to culture, society and politics is substantial, and where theory and practice intertwine. Our emphasis is on the social periphery and countercultural activities – from music, literature and film to theory. We act independently from party political, religious or commercial interests. As a socially critical collective, we regard the current reality as made by humans and, therefore, as constantly changeable. We deliberately provide a counterpoint (Contrapunkt) to the reactionary understanding of homeland, culture and tradition. Our cultural work is political with a public demand for change.
