Diesel Denim Friday Diesel Denim Friday After a successful introduction in 2020, Diesel will return with another instalment of Diesel Denim Friday (DDF) – The Sound of Denim. What started as a way of Entertaining customers at Diesel stores has now evolved into a nation-wide initiative that not only aims to discover new acts but empower and promote them as well. The brand has once again enlisted some of South Africa’s heavyweights for the initiative led by Shimza and last year’s DDF winner Judy Jay, who the brand has named as their ‘SUPERHERO DJ’s. These two will be supported by the ‘HERO DJs’ who are Oscar Mbo who will be representing Johannesburg, Malankane representing Pretoria, Dj Le Soul representing Durban and, Mshayi & Mr Thela representing Cape Town. To give more emerging DJs a chance to be part of this year’s instalment, DJs will now be able to submit their entries online during a specific period. This will ensure that you can enter no matter where you are. All the enlisted DJs will form part of the mentorship of the chosen finalists and will decide on the top talents and the overall DDF 2021 winner. Viewers can now also stream the sets and once again vote for who they think is the Diesel Denim Fridays Champion.
