Q&A with Rahim Hassan: Teen Programming at the ICA by ICAVCU published on 2016-12-19T22:06:35Z AC: Why do you think teens are an important group for the ICA? RA: Teens are an important group because we do understand and experience what is going on in the world. At our age, we don’t always have the opportunity to speak up or voice our opinion on those topics affecting our lives. There is a lot of potential for the ICA, with its focus on contemporary art, to be a safe space for teens to have those tough conversations about topics affecting us and our communities. While there are other places that offer this type of safe space, it’s really rare, and since the ICA is going to be a place for artists to express their opinions, it will be a great place for teens to do the same.
