Ötzi is a post-punk trio from Oakland, CA. Comprised of bassist Akiko Sampson, drummer Gina Marie and guitarist K. Dylan Edrich, they're known for their explosive live show and their unique aggressive post-punk sound. Ötzi delivers a driving rhythm blanketed by abstract guitar washes and the intertwining melodies of double vocals.
Since their formation in 2014, Otzi has toured many parts of the world and billed with varied post-punk, punk and indie luminaries including the Chameleons, Pink Turns Blue, Kommunity FK, Deerhoof, Modern English, 13th Chime, Zounds, Screaming Dead and The Iconoclast. In 2016 Ötzi released their first seven-inch EP, "Gong Show," on Long Way to Go Records. In 2017 came Ötzi's debut LP, Ghosts, recorded by Stan Wright of Arctic Flowers, and released on Near Dark, Psychic Eye, and Last Hour Records in the US and on Bat-Cave Productions in the EU. In 2018, Ötzi released “Part Time Punks Sessions,” a limited edition, Peel Sessions-style EP culled from tracks recorded and archived by the Part Time Punks club night and KXLU radio show in Los Angeles.

“Badass Oakland deathrock” - Cvlt Nation
“Dark and (heavy on the) dreamy side of post punk” - Maximum RocknRoll
“This Oakland trio has been burning a path of ecstatic destruction everywhere they go” - Stereo Embers Magazine
