Tropical Distractions Virginia The Tropical Distractions are a 4 piece indie band from the DMV area. The band consists of Megan Clancy (lead vocals), Alexa Dembosky (lead guitar), Ian Mcphail (drums), and Amanda Mullins (bass and vocals). The bandmates met together during their time at a local music school and formed their group over quarantine of 2020. Originally, the band began with Alexa and Ian, who were then followed by Megan, and finally, Amanda, who cried when she first listened to the band’s demos because they were just “so good.” Their sound contains elements of pop mixed with eclectic modern-day indie rock, complete with youthful, exuberant lyrics reflective of the teenage experience. We are all super passionate about music and are excited to share our love for it with the world!
