Dana Brown, pianist

American pianist Dana Brown is recognized for his commitment to the power of music, old and new.As both soloist and collaborative pianist, he seeks to carry on the traditions of his teachers while defining new works of the 21st century. In the fall of 2021, he will be heard on two new CDs, one with soprano Michelle Areyzaga (“Were I With Thee”) on 4Tay Records, and the world premiere recordings of Wayland Roger’s “I-Thou” and Andrea Clearfield”s “A Brush With Our Time” with Chicago’s Fourth Coast Ensemble. Spring of 2022 brings a new solo recital featuring transcriptions of Rachmaninov and Gershwin by the American virtuoso Earl Wild.
