Firestone Theatre

Firestone Theatre and the Akron School for the Arts are housed at the new Firestone Community Learning Center in Akron, Ohio. We present a full season of plays and musicals and are very active in a wide range of Thespian activities. The curricular program is designed for serious students interested in a life in the arts.

Firestone Theatre has presented the some of the finest student productions in Northeast Ohio over many years. Our shows have earned numerous honors including a handful of "Dazzles" courtesy of the Northeast Ohio HS Musical Theatre Awards sponsored by Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Thousands of student artists have passed through our doors and now many of them have gone on to very successful artistic careers. Other graduates have matriculated into college and lucrative careers thanks in part to the excellent skills honed in our program.

Firestone Theatre offers basic and advanced training that follows the full range of the theatrical discipline. Coursework includes a four year track in either acting/performance or technical theatre/design. A full season of plays and musicals are produced by collaborating with our arts colleagues.
