Zoom 101:The Digital Divide During The Covid-19 Pandemic. by Hannah Chong published on 2022-02-06T22:33:37Z Our podcast was made during a tumultuous time for many students as the education of many was disrupted by a global pandemic. Most people know about the digital divide as a form of inequality in technology, aka- who has technology such as computers/cellphones and who doesn't. However, in reality, it's a lot more nuanced than that and our podcast episode sought to highlight how the digital divide and education intersected during the COVID-19 pandemic. We interviewed various students and teachers of all educational backgrounds and from all across America to showcase their varying encounters while using literature to use theory to frame and explain their lived experiences. To finish, we touched on what the future may hold for the use of educational technologies and what steps can be taken to bridge these gaps for a more equitable society. Genre Learning
